Hey, this is Kayu, a 2D and 3D artist based in Paris, France, who has always been better at drawing and computers than speaking about herself.
 

Working at the Annecy Animation Festival inspired me to drop out of philosophy and art history classes at Sorbonne and jump right into animation school (imagine my career switch if I went to an impressive funeral)... Eventually, I found myself graduated from Supinfocom Arles (Ecole Mopa) during Covid.
 

My first solo short film, “Evol,” has been selected by different festivals including Animafest Zagreb and DC Independent Film Festival.

My graduation film, "Les Chaussures de Louis," has traveled and been shared with audiences in different countries via multiple film festivals, including winning the Gold medal in the International Animation Category at the 2021 Student Oscar Academy Awards. It's now streaming on Canal+.
 

Currently, I am a freelance director/illustrator and 2D/3D lighting and compositing artist. My clients include Ted-ed Talk, Los Angeles Times, Inserm, and Vogue.
